Street Ignition Queens [SiQ] is gearing up for our second successful year of Automotive Recognition Awards so we would like to prepare you to get the most out of your very important nomination.
What is the Street Ignition Queens Automotive Recognition Awards [ARA]?
The SiQ ARA gives women a voice to award consistent, quality product & service standards within the automotive industry and commend individuals who have worked hard in the automotive scene.
Who can nominate?
Ladies from our very own SiQ Ladies Automotive Community are the driving force of these awards and are the only members who are eligible to submit a nomination.
ViQ Membership holders, as a condition of their membership, are required to nominate in at least one category.
ViQ members have a priority early access to nominating.
All members are encouraged to nominate for "Ms Street Ignition Queen" however Australian residents only are eligible to nominate in the following categories: 'Best Automotive Event', 'Best Mechanic / Repair Centre', 'Best Creative Service', 'Best Automotive Educational Program'.
How do I nominate?
Once you have joined our community, make your nomination count by nominating a reputable Australian business, or individual right here.
What are the categories?
MS STREET IGNITION QUEEN
Nominee requirements:
Be an individual person - not a business.
Not be the founder / admin of SiQ.
Can be SiQ Representatives or Moderators.
You can nominate yourself.
Before you write your detailed nomination, consider and give examples..
How has this SiQueen helped you along your automotive journey? You don't have to know them personally.. Maybe they've just taken the time to answer your questions in our community and you've seen them helping others. Maybe you do know them and have seen the hard work they've put in the background of the automotive scene.
Are they regularly active in the SiQ community by making meaningful interactions whether online, or in person?
How has this SiQueen inspired you?
Do you recognise them to be selfless, kind and considerate to others and uplifting other SiQ members?
BEST ARTISTIC / CREATIVE AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE
Nominee requirements:
Be heavily involved in the automotive scene.
Must be a creative / art business e.g. photography, videography, drawing, digital design, model, presenter, stunt person, actor.
Does not have to be a SiQ Member.
Can be a male or female business owner.
You can nominate your own business.

Has this creative business dedicated their time to the automotive scene?
How is this creative business unique?
How has their art made you happy or inspired you?
BEST EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
Nominee requirements:
Be heavily involved in the automotive industry.
Must be an educational program assisting women to learn a new automotive skill.
Does not have to be a SiQ Member.
Can be a male or female business owner.
You can nominate your own educational automotive program.

BEST MECHANIC / REPAIR CENTRE
Nominee requirements:
Does not have to be a SiQ Member.
Can be a male or female business owner.
You can nominate your own mechanic business / repair centre.
Before you write your detailed submission, consider and give examples..
How has this mechanic / repair centre benefited the automotive scene?
How is this mechanic / repair centre unique?
How has this mechanic / repair centre treated you / your family as a client?
Are they a reputable business with great value in terms of customer service, cost and cleanliness?
BEST AUTOMOTIVE EVENT
Nominee requirements:
Organise does not have to be a SiQ Member.
Can be a male or female business owner.
You can nominate your own automotive event.
Before you write your detailed submission, consider and give examples..
How has this automotive event benefited the automotive scene?
How is this automotive event unique?
How has this automotive event treated you / your family as a spectator / automotive display entrant?
Are they an automotive event with great value in terms of customer service, cost and cleanliness?
Is the automotive event inclusive, family friendly, well organised?
How can I maximise nominations for myself or my business?
Spread the word! Get your friends, Mums, Grandma's, co-workers, team, SiQueens and any other ladies who have confidence in you or your business to join our SiQ Ladies Automotive Community, complete all screening questions and when the time comes, nominate you / your business
What happens to the nominations?
Once submission entries have closed, all businesses / individuals with at least three detailed nominations will be notified and required to provide a statement on why they are the best in their field and include an A4 landscape advert to comply to the printed image specifications in preparation of a potential win. This advert will not be judged.
If you are self-nominating, having a landscape A4 advert ready would be advantageous in terms of efficiency, if requested.
The nominations that have provided a satisfactory statement and advert by the deadline will then move on to the next stage as being officially announced as ARA finalists.
The finalists will then be judged by a panel of inspiring women in the automotive scene.
