2021 SiQ APC Judging Panel

Updated: Jun 19, 2021

Words by Loli Azuelo | Founder

Street Ignition Queens' Automotive Photography Challenge #SiQAPC21 is all about focusing on the woman behind the wheel. No matter what you drive - It's what drives you.

We want our women to realise how much they've achieved throughout their automotive journeys. To reflect on their images and stories regardless whether they make the top 7, and feel confident, empowered and acknowledged.

The vital role of the following carefully selected professional photographer's to curate our judging panel, is to determine which seven submissions will be printed on our 2022 Women's Automotive Calendar and Winner's Lanyard, inspiring women across the globe.

Thanks to Kass Brumley, previous Judge for our 2020 APC, professional photographer and former Canon Collective Ambassador, please meet our official judges for 2021:

Jules Ingall is a Gold Coast based photographer and content creator with over 20 years experience. She works with brands covering a variety of industries from portrait/fashion to marine and motoring. Her love of meeting new people sees her main focus as connecting with people to create unique and inspiring imagery that represents her clients.

Jules started her photography career as a motorsport photographer back in the pre-digital 1990’s following the Australian Touring Car Championship. Teamed up with now husband and retired Professional V8 Supercar Champion and Media Personality, Russell Ingall, they moved overseas and Jules travelled Europe capturing imagery of both motorsport and the amazing landscape that Europe had to offer.

On return to Australia, Jules continued working in Motorsport for some years, then transitioned to travel photography, working with Tourism boards and publications around Australia and the world. Jules has now settled on the Gold Coast with her family, specialising in portrait photography as well as working with Canon Australia to run their Facebook Community Page for photographers.

Each judge takes their time to view the ten finalists (meet our Queens here) images along with their stories of their automotive journeys, selecting their Top 7 images who will ultimately be featured in print in our calendar and lanyard.

Their judgement is not solely based on photographic technicalities, but also about the emotional connection that the Queen has between their rides, the automotive scene, and the judges themselves. Lady Driven Co. will host the public vote on their Instagram to determine who will be crowned the Cover Queen of our 2022 calendar.
